RIME

Nel giugno 2002 uscivano i cinque tomi dell'Edizione Nazionale delle Rime di Dante a cura di De Robertis, il compimento del lavoro filologico di una vita, e insieme la scoperta di un testo per molti versi nuovo, aperto a nuove letture. De Robertis ha ritenuto che prima che ad altri questa rilettura toccasse a lui, e propone ora, a meno di due anni dal monumento filologico, un commento al 'suo' testo, chiudendo così il ciclo avviato nel 1939 col commento di Contini, dal quale aveva poi ricevuto l'incarico dell'edizione. Da leggere in parallelo col commento a Cavalcanti allestito da De Robertis vent'anni fa, il lavoro fa emergere l'idea del Dante lirico che è sottesa all'edizione, e ne costituisce il compimento sul piano critico. Il volume contiene per ciascun testo cappelli introduttivi e note puntuali, ed è corredato da glossario, rimario e indici, e dalle concordanze in CD-ROM.

The five volumes of the National Edition of Dante's Rime, edited by De Robertis, were first issued in June 2002. The work was the accomplishment of a lifetime of philological study and the discovery of a text that is, in many ways, new and open to fresh readings. De Robertis always maintained first rights to a new reading and now proposes a commentary on 'his' text, less than two years after the publication of the monumental philological achievement, thus bringing to a close the cycle begun in 1939 with the commentary by Contini, from whom he inherited the responsibility of the critical edition. To be read in conjunction with De Robertis' commentary on Cavalcanti, completed twenty years ago, this work reveals the idea of a lyrical Dante implied in the edition and provides it with a critical framework. The volume contains introductions and notes for each text, along with glossary, dictionary of rhymes, indices, and concordances on CD-ROM.
